Often, our social events are interlinked with charity support, letting colleagues relax in a natural environment where fundraising occurs subtly in the background. By doing this, we hope to inspire positivity by celebrating the efforts of all employees, connecting departments and enabling staff to grow through experiences.

Social Events

Social events are an important and regular occurrence at Sepura. Not only do they serve as team building time, they improve company culture, boost morale, engagement and help to build relationships with the people you work with every day.

Any Sepura employees can participate in the events that are run regularly throughout the year, organised by the social and charity committee. From knowledge testing to physical endurance and everything in between, events include pub quizzes, solving mysteries, summer parties and sporting competitions (bowling is a sport, right?).

Though we have individuals that dedicate time to organising and running these events, we encourage all employees at Sepura to get involved and welcome event suggestions, helping to offer something for everyone.

Charity Support

Sepura’s current chosen charity is Arthur Rank Hospice. First opening in 1981, the organisation works tirelessly to support people in Cambridgeshire with a life-limiting illness or those who require end-of-life care. ARHC became our chosen charity for a number of reasons; the services provide help to those in need in the local area, helping not only the patient, but the family too. What’s more, they are a recognised centre delivering The Gold Standards Framework, ensuring that every single penny raised is used to care for individuals in the best and most compassionate way possible.

Choosing a charity is difficult when there are so many in need and worthy of help, which is why Sepura support 2 charities a year, dedicating 6 months of help to each. This enables us to share our efforts and support more people in need.

A collaborative decision is made on who to help by way of by proposing a number of causes to staff and moving forward with the majority vote. The reasons behind choosing the charities we do are different in each case but often relate to locality, personal circumstances and their ability to meet growing demand of help and services.

From professional help and services to donating time and money, Sepura’s support to chosen charities is offered in many forms. In addition to the time and effort of employees involved, the company itself makes a significant financial contribution to support their success, so that all of the funds they raise go directly to the charity.

Previous notable events for chosen charities include the Yorkshire Peaks Challenge and a Sleep Out.
