Powering the future of mission critical communications

Drawing on Sepura’s experience in delivering trusted critical communications solutions, the SCU3 brings together Mission Critical Push-To-Talk (MCPTT) applications with expansion capabilities including Device-to-Device communications, data accessibility and routing functionality.

The SCU3 features an optional TETRA modem, enabling narrowband voice and data services, whilst also coming with Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi and Ethernet options to provide connections to a range of accessories and ancillary systems, creating a mission critical communications hub suitable for today and long into the future.

Paired with our Mobile Device Management solution, the Sepura SCU3 is a complete vehicle communication hub, giving emergency services customers a clear upgrade path for their mission critical communications needs.

Designed for today and the future

Based on the Android OS, the SCU3 is capable of running current and still-to-be-developed applications. The optional TETRA modem enables concurrent use of TETRA and LTE MCCPTT solutions while Bluetooth, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity enable the SCU3 flexibility to match future needs.

Extensive, proven accessory range

The SCU3 reuses many of Sepura’s existing accessories, already proven in harsh environments around the world, reducing the cost of ownership and training requirements.

Scalable user interface

Using standard HDMI displays and offering up to 720p HD video from the SCU3, the user interface will scale to multiple screens between 7” to 65”, providing flexibility of use from vehicles to control rooms.

Complete vehicle communication hub

Designed to be the complete vehicle communication hub for voice and data services, the SCU3 is part of a solution including the Sepura Accessory Hub (SAH3) and Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) providing powerful, flexible voice and data solutions to mission-critical users.

APPLICATION ECOSYSTEM

Built on the market-leading Android OS, the SCU3 provides compatibility with the widest possible range of applications available. Software familiar to users from smartphones will run seamlessly on the device, supporting operations with powerful data accessibility, supporting operations with actionable information.

Full Control of Data

The SCU3 is equipped with LTE data capabilities that allow applications such as real-time video to run in the field. The SCU3 seamlessly processes data intensive applications, either those installed on the device or from external devices tethered via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The device allows complete control over how and where data traffic is routed, based on operational need.

Dedicated Platform Management

The SCU3 is managed via a dedicated Mobile Device Management solution, providing wireless programming capability delivered over a simple web browser. Software upgrades can be configured and delivered across the fleet when it suits the user organisation, increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
