Teltronic, part of the Hytera Group, has been selected by systems integrator PT. Mobinet Indonesia to supply a complete TETRA communications solution for a light rail transit project (LRT) in the city of Palembang, which is planned to be the first one in operation in Indonesia.
The new transportation system will be installed at Palembag, one of the cities that will hold the next Asian Games. The company will provide a full solution including Sepura's TETRA hand portable and mobile radios allied with Teltronic's infrastructure and next generation command and control system developed for the transportation market
The LRT will provide a vital transport link for the Asian Games, scheduled to be held in the country in the summer of 2018.
The contract will see the provision of infrastructure, including a switching control node, mast-mounted base stations (MBS) and a CeCo TRANS, a next-generation command and control system specially tailored to the requirements of the transportation market.
The solution also includes Sepura's STP9000 hand-portable radios, SRG3900 mobile radios, and the railway-regulations-compliant RTP-603 onboard units, equipped with RCC-3000 8" colour touchscreen user interfaces - robust and highly configurable.
