20th March 2014 - Sepura will be sponsoring the Special Constabulary National Conference (SC2014) taking place in Durham on 28-30th March 2014.
The conference, hosted by a different police force each year,
aims to celebrate and recognise the significant contribution made
by the special constabulary to policing. One of the
conference's main objectives is to enable the forces to share good
practice, develop policy and learn from each other's experiences. A
noteworthy aspect of this event is that it usually takes place at
the week-end also thanks to the initiative of a group of special
constables who give up their own personal time to further develop
the professionalism of the special constabulary.
Sepura is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of
digital radio products, systems and applications developed
specifically for business and critical communications and has a
market leading position in the UK. Sepura is the major supplier of
TETRA equipment to the Police and the Department of Health in the
UK.
Jonathan Hamill, VP Government & Public Safety: "We are
delighted to have been given the opportunity to support this event
as we recognise the importance of the role played by the Special
Constabulary. Our contribution towards the conference is only a
small token of our appreciation of the trust that UK police forces
demonstrate in our products and our brand".
Gary Maughan, Sepura's Regional Director UK and Ireland comments:
"Public safety represents the most significant part of our customer
base in the UK and Sepura continues to deliver innovative solutions
that meet the evolving needs of this sector. As a new member
of the Sepura team, I'm particularly thrilled with the opportunity
to attend this conference and meet our customers".
