Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind) was thrilled today to receive £2,700 raised by the employees of Cambridge based digital communications experts, Sepura.

Sepura's Sports and Social Committee co-ordinated a six month fund-raising programme that included traditional events such as pub quizzes, escape rooms, a corporate football tournament at Cambridge United and sponsored activities during Mind's RED January.

Ben Yelton, Sepura's Communication Manager said, "The thing that made this so special for us at Sepura was that everyone was able to be involved in the campaign at a level that suited them, whether it was completing 15 minutes of exercise every day, attending presentations on the importance of strong mental health, or just simple fun staff activities like bowling nights. Everyone had the chance to take part and make new friendships and connections within the staff group".

Joe McHugh, Sepura's Head of HR said, "We are delighted to have been able to support CPSL Mind for this period of fundraising. Working for a common fundraising goal across the business has had multiple benefits for Sepura. We believe our staff feel more engaged, and it has given some of our many new starters this year a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the company. Just as importantly we have also got across some of the key messages about CPSL Mind's campaigns for stronger mental health, including the importance of rest, exercise and support networks. This is vital to supporting our staff on a day-to-day basis".

Zoe Doherty, the charity's Fundraiser said, "We are so grateful to Sepura for supporting CPSL Mind and for organising so many fantastic fundraising events. Today one in four of us at any one time during the year will have a diagnosable mental health condition and at CPSL Mind, we provide a wide range of services to support local people in their mental health recovery. Last year we provided 23,900 hours of 1-2-1 support and Sepura's donation will help us to continue to provide these much needed services to local people. An enormous thank you to all the staff at Sepura for their amazing fundraising efforts and for the huge amount of money they have raised".
