Sepura is delighted to announce that its TETRA terminals have been selected by the Norwegian Health Services, Helsetjenesten.

Sepura is delighted to announce that its TETRA terminals have been selected by the Norwegian Health Services, Helsetjenesten. This contract award, hot on the heels of the sales success with the Norwegian Police earlier this year, has been awarded to VHF Communication AS, Sepura's longstanding partner in Norway.

The Norwegian health authorities selected Sepura's TETRA radios following a public tender within the first phase of the deployment of Norway's nationwide emergency TETRA network, Nødnett.

Helsetjenesten will be supplied with Sepura's STP9000 hand-portable and SRG3900 mobile gateway radios. The radios, which will be used by health services operatives across the country, were chosen because of their robustness, ease-of-use and high quality. The mobile gateways will be fitted in most ambulances and emergency services vehicles and will operate as a link-station between hand-held radios to enable communications beyond the normal reach of the network, and in areas of poor reception.

Commenting on the deal, Lars-Magnus Gustafsson, Sepura's Business Development Manager for Scandinavia said:"This is a very significant contract for Sepura as it demonstrates the Norwegian authorities' trust and confidence in our TETRA products. Health services organisations in Norway will be able to enjoy the benefits of Sepura's ambulance solution which is transforming communications for ambulance organisations worldwide".

Gustafsson concluded: "Our success in Norway and the Scandinavian countries is also due to our experienced and established channel partners. Their deep knowledge and understanding of their markets, allied with technical competence and business acumen, have enabled us to achieve a highly competitive market share in the region".
