Investing in Sepura's Senior Management Team
We are excited to announce two key additions to our Senior Management Team, with Anthony Sutton joining as Worldwide Sales Director and Miguel Calvo as R&D Director.
Strengthening Sepura's leadership team has been a key focus during a period of growth and wider investment, as we expand our portfolio of innovative TETRA products and further develop solutions to support the migration to LTE broadband.
“Since we were acquired by Epiris in 2022, we have taken several steps to strengthen our core team. This is part of our long-term investment in new markets and technologies, and Miguel and Anthony will have key roles in delivering this. These two appointments strengthen our Senior Leadership Team and will enable Sepura to drive its business forward as we develop our new broadband products and services portfolio.”Steve Barber, Chief Executive Officer, Sepura
We welcome Anthony to the team from Ranplan Wireless, where as Chief Commercial Officer, he led a sales team delivering software solutions for private and public safety networks. Prior to this, he held roles with Cobham Wireless and Axell Wireless, gaining a deep understanding of TETRA networks in metro and critical national infrastructure environments.
Anthony brings with him a proven track record of delivering communications solutions and as Worldwide Sales Director, will lead Sepura’s global sales team across its TETRA and LTE portfolios.
“Sepura’s reputation in the communications market is second to none, and I look forward to the challenge of supporting our customers with their existing communication challenges and throughout their migration to broadband solutions.”Anthony Sutton, Worldwide Sales Director, Sepura
Miguel joins us from Ultimaker, a world-leading provider of 3D printing products and services, where he was Chief Technology Officer. Before this, he held senior technical leadership roles at Linx Printing and several other engineering organisations. In addition to a solid technical background, Miguel brings extensive experience in business improvement and change management.
In his new role as R&D Director, Miguel is committed to maintaining Sepura’s reputation for product robustness and innovation and ensuring that our solutions continue to support mission-critical users around the world.
“I am excited by the challenge of driving the delivery of innovative communications solutions to mission-critical users. I see our solutions as a key part of the public safety users’ toolbox, enabling them to support the wider society by keeping the public safe. I can’t wait to get started.”Miguel Calvo, R&D Director, Sepura
Anthony and Miguel will attend Critical Communications World in Helsinki from 23 - 25 May, where the team will be demonstrating our latest hybrid critical communications solutions, including the SCU3 Dual Mode Vehicle Device. This will be shown with a range of applications and integrations, including a connected vehicle installation.
The SCU3 has been shortlisted for 'Advances In Sustainability' at the International Critical Communications Awards, as has our recently introduced VHF TETRA portfolio in the 'Best TETRA Solution' category. Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on May 23, which forms part of the annual Critical Communications World event.
