Frogne A/S, the largest dispatching and fleet management organisation in Scandinavia, has chosen Sepura TETRA mobile radios to equip 250 taxis in Denmark. This order was won in conjunction with Swedish Radio Supply AB, Sepura's longstanding distributor in Sweden.

With over 30 years experience in fleet dispatch systems, Frogne A/S provides solutions enabling the smooth interaction of different technologies across a wide variety of system platforms; a fundamental requirement for the co-ordination of mobile units in real time systems.

The Sepura SRM2000 mobile TETRA terminal was chosen as it supports dual control consoles and multiple data applications. In addition its open systems interface is compatible with data and message terminals that Frogne are using as part of their solution.

Frogne, who developed, built and operates its TETRA network in Denmark, opted for TETRA as the most effective technology to provide cost efficient communication between all cars in the fleet and between every car and the control room.

Kaare Frogne, Managing Director of Frogne, said "Sepura mobiles were the only TETRA mobile radios to offer the unique flexibility and functionality that we needed. None of the competitors' products evaluated could meet the high standards set by Sepura."
