Sepura Limited was founded in April 2002 in Cambridge to design and develop TErrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA) radios for use by the emergency services and those requiring mission critical communications.

Little over five and a quarter years on, Sepura plc has established itself as one of three leading, global suppliers of TETRA radio terminals. To 31 March 2007, Sepura has sold over 300,000 terminals to more than 600 end-user organisations in over 80 countries.
